Armed Police in Ivydale road.

Every day and night for the past few weeks when I drive to work in the morning and return in the evening there are always 2 armed police with automatic weapons standing outside the same house
I'd love to stop and ask them for the time ...but may get a bad reaction. Seriously curious why they are there. Ideas Anyone?

I know she is a high profile target so "warrents" the protection. But also annoying when someone in such a position can be ignorant to their surroundings due to lots of tax payers money.
How about a couple on each street.

It was meant tongue in cheek if you had not notice. I hardly expect an armed officer on every street, grow up  (this is a joke)
As for her inability to understand how people are feeling in the areas they live in, while she has an armed guard, and escort everywhere.... I stand by that.
She harps on about how she lives in the middle of peoples concerns, but lives inside a bubble too. (this is a serious comment)

Thanks to Michael for clearing this one up - I've been wondering for ages why they were there. Thought they might be protecting a witness but probably not subtle enough.

I personally didn't find it comforting having an armed guard I was never sure if they were there to protect me or shoot me.

Rumour has it that Jonathan Ross, Bono, Richard Littlejohn and Melanie Phillips are hiding out there (and probably John Lydon as well) with a mob of my vigilantees after them.
This site has got really exciting again. Even more so now we have predictable Champions League football on terrestrial.
