I was wondering how many of us there are who use this forum, and thought I'd start mooting the idea of a meet-up?
Thinking maybe a saturday mid-morning in April or May - I am due 21st July, but would be great to meet local people who might not be on the same antenatal class as me?

Dads-to-be very welcome too - the more the merrier

Let me know what you think...

Yup, we have little one number 2 on the way, due in June. I think we'd be up for a meeting

Hi Ruth,
Yes I'd be up for meeting up with prospective parents locally and April / May sound good.

Great - so that's a few of us then!
Guess we'll wait and see if anyone else wants to join us and work out a date/place - any thoughts on where? We are in HOP but happy to go wherever!

Hi Ruth,
We live in HOP and my wife is due on April 8, she just started her maternity leave this week. I'll let her know about this because I'm sure she'd be interested in a meet up.

I'm in HOP too! I'm due beginning of June, but if KK's wife is due in April perhaps we should go for a meet up in March. The Honor Oak pub is quite a good relaxing venue.

The honor oak seems a good bet as any - and yes march better for the april babies! 15th or 22nd any good?

We can't do 15th, and 22nd is the Saturday just before Easter. We are OK for it, but it may not suit others.

Hello. Mrs JBird (mother-to-be-to-twins!) and I are up for it - especially if it's on the 22nd. The Honor Oak sounds like a good venue.
We're not doing local NCT classes so would really like the opportunity to meet parents from SE23.

wow - twins! People keep asking me if I am having twins - maybe I should lay off the croissants
22nd good with us - we are starting the nursery (eek) over Easter weekend so in the area - is this good with everyone else?

OK, we're in.
BTW, what do you mean you are "starting the nursery"?

wow, you are organised, we are due in april and i'm still working on our little nursery!
22 is OK with us, we're not planning to go away for Easter so we should be in the area.

Look forward to meeting you all, around what time shall we go for?

Is this for lunch or afternoon 'get-together'? We'll be bringing our 3 year-old as well - any other kids coming?

How about an afternoon get together? I'm fairly certain I'm about to become very poor so coffee / a pint sounds a little less daunting than lunch. Would that be okay with everyone else?

What a great idea. My second is due in September so still early days. Maybe I should try and arrange something later on for any mums due later in the year. Anyway good luck with all the new babies.

Come along anyway millibear - if you are due in September even those with babies due in June and July (like us) will be off I would have thought (p.s congratulations if you've just announced)

Hello All,
I would hate to miss out on the meet up. I can make the 22nd but probably not until late afternoon say around 5pm. Would that suit everyone?

We haven't exactly 'started' on the nursery, more like considering what to do with all the stuff that is currently in the designated room!

Hello, we are expecting our second in April and we're definitely up for a meeting. Look forward to meeting you all on 22nd with our little boy, who is 18 months. Will everyone be wearing a red carnation?!
