Garthorne Road Nature Reserve


Saturday 17th August
2 -5pm


Garthorne Road Nature Reserve will be open again this Saturday. Come and explore the serene surroundings, and don't forget to bring your picnic basket. There are seating areas scattered around the reserve for you to relax and enjoy.

There will be family bug hunting activities suitable for both children and adults, as well as a self-guided tree walk. Also see our newly commissioned Street art about the history of the site from the former Croydon Canal to the present day railway line and the wildlife that lives beside it.

Also come and see our newly installed commissioned Street art by Aeroarts

Sorry no dogs, BBQ'S or electric scooters.

Can you spare an hour a month? We need volunteers to help manage the gate and provide information to visitors. No previous experience is required. If you're interested, please contact us

Entrance on Beadnell Road
Please use public transport if possible Buses P4 & P12 (Honor Oak Park) 10 minutes walk
Buses: 122,171 &172 (Brockley Rise) 10 minutes walk
