The quality of the fresh fruits and vegetable in our local Sainsbury's is very poor. A while ago we spotted many items with a past "use by date" on sale. I have complained there and then at the tills and they pretended to be surprised. The day after we would find even more products like that on the shelves. I also wrote to the manager. I never even received a reply. I also find a lot of till staff very rude; I could write a book on how disappointing our local Sainsubury?s is. Instead I only shop there for packed foods like pasta and rice and some dairy. I avoid buying their fresh produce in general. I recently discovered that the fruits and vegetables on sale in the Lidl in Sydenham (oh my God, LIDL, a crowd of se23.commers was heard murmuring?) much better, less packaging and more variety. And, back to the original thread, I don?t think they have any Christmas music on or have a Father Christmas greeting you, although I may have not noticed. I tend to spend a very little time in supermarkets as I don?t have to shop for a big family.
