As has been said on other threads, it now may be viewed that what is happening here is that "brand rejection" forms the real basis for many of the objections.

Had it been the case that say Pizza Express proposed a seated eatery here - would there be the same volume of objection ?

Was there any emerging consensus from the meeting as to what kind of business would be deemed acceptable ?

On what basis might objectors form a belief that if any type of retail business is to be successful in that location that an increase in traffic of one form or another will not happen.

If this fails how are other potential retailers to be convinced to make even preliminary exploration of opportunity never mind the investment in the preparation of a planning application in the face of such uncertain objection.

As i said in my first post on this thread - I am not an avid supporter of this application.
