I think what Jane has suggested would work great on a bank holiday weekend.

I also think a wider variety event would work better avoiding bank holidays as a lot of families go away. Maybe something along the lines of FH has talent could work well where all types of local talent is welcomed, from dance, to juggling, to singing tamla mowtown!

I did organise a local school summer fair event a few years ago which was --- has talent and went down really well.

Ed i'm more than happy to help out where I can with this as it's the kind of thing I love getting involved with. The only thing I can't help with is singing as I'm awful.
