Street Lighting - just how bad is it?

My complaint about Church Rise lighting remains. Regardless of the flow of emails and tweets between all parties, I am still underwhelmed by the distribution of light poles, and the effect they have lighting the street. At least its slightly improved now the leaves have fallen.
