This is interesting info. Scary though. I've just remembered years ago when I was a student some elderly JW's knocking on my door late one evening to warn me of the dangers of blood transfusions particularly AIDS.

Having been through a lot of 'religion' when younger it only served to make me an atheist. It doesn't matter how much instruction/immersion you have, you either decide to believe in something without question, or not. However you do need to be comfortable in being the odd one out as a lot of people will succumb to peer pressure and groupthink. Personally I found the cultural and social aspect of church things interesting as a child but now although I respect people's choices and faith, I just find religion inherently dangerous, with the exception of Quakers who do excellent work. You can have morals and spirituality without any of it; society will not break down as a result.
