BBQ's, loud music, bonfires, fireworks etc, can all be extremely irritating and your local Environmental Health officer should be able to advise on all of these. Builders working on site on a Sunday or Bank Holiday can also be added to the above list.

However, they wouldn't normally take action if the nuisance is a one off or on the odd occasion. Even if they did visit the site then it would probably be no more than a quiet word.

What you really need to do is to monitor the frequency of the nuisance and keep a diary. Of course this means that you're going to have to grin and "bear it" for a while but Environmental Health are more likely to be able to do something about it if you can prove that it is a regular occurrence.
