And now a long winded update for half term week which affects us to an extent, especially if you use Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park.

Starting with Southern. On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October, there is no service between London Bridge and Victoria.

For the rest of the week, there is a special service operating between London Bridge and Sutton. These will depart from Forest Hill at x05 and x35 past each hour, with return services from London Bridge also at x05 and x35 past each hour.

The trains to Sutton call at all stations to West Croydon then fast to Sutton.

There is NO SERVICE between Sydenham and Victoria until Saturday 2nd November.

London Overground: Saturday 26th to Tuesday 29th, there is a reduced service between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon and NO SERVICE to Crystal Palace.

Six trains per hour will operate between Dalston Junction (of which four will go to Highbury & Islington) and West Croydon.

Wednesday 30th October sees the normal 8 trains per hour service resume between Highbury & Islington to West Croydon or Crystal Palace.

Catford Bridge/Lower Sydenham: Normal service on Sat 26th. Sunday 27th sees services not calling at Lewisham. Normal service the following weekend, 2/3 Nov.

Crofton Park/Catford: Normal service throughout with the exception of early morning services to Victoria operating to Blackfriars on the 27th.

Tube strikes are expected on Thursday 7th and Tuesday 12th November due to action by ASLEF train drivers. (RMT cancelled their industrial action due to an improved offer by TfL).

If this happens, expect little to no service on the Jubilee line from Canada Water and no Hammersmith & City or District line services from Whitechapel.

Services that will continue to run throughout are buses, the Elizabeth line, DLR, Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern services.

Alternative routes:

London Bridge. Southern services continue to operate every 30 mins from FH and HOP, plus services on Southeastern from Catford Bridge, Lower Sydenham, Ladywell and Lewisham.

Canary Wharf: Overground to Shadwell, then DLR. Overground to Whitechapel, then Elizabeth line. P4 or 185 to Lewisham station, then DLR.

Waterloo: Bus 176 from Forest Hill or 172 from Brockley Rise direct to Waterloo station. Direct Southeastern services from Catford Bridge/Lower Sydenham, Southern from FH or HOP to Clapham Junction, then change for South Western Railway services. Southern to London Bridge, then change for Southeastern services to Waterloo East.

Elizabeth line services from Whitechapel go to Stratford, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street/Moorgate, Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, Bond Street (for Oxford Circus) and Paddington. If you can use the Elizabeth line to get into the West End or City, this is going to be very busy, but will be operational all day.

Thameslink will continue to operate from Crofton Park/Catford or London Bridge to Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras International (for King's Cross).

Such a relief!
Annoyingly I have to attend a work event and I see there's no overground after 22.15pm so Southern rail it'll be from London Bridge but I'm so glad we at least have the tubes running.

After a short delay due to the TfL cyber hack, the London Overground services from Forest Hill/Honor Oak Park will be rebranded as the Windrush line from the end of November. They'll still be branded as London Overground, but given a line name to make it easier to know which part of the network we're part of. (Same as the tube using District/Northern etc)

However while there will be changes on trains and at stations to branding, if you travel on the tube, DLR or Elizabeth line, announcements will still say London Overground until funding or a major update is required due to funding issues at interchange stations.

The Windrush line brand replaces Overground services from Highbury & Islington to West Croydon, Crystal Palace, New Cross and Clapham Junction.
