Another cause for celebration: looks like we'll shortly be 500 members active is that a record, admin, or was there a previous 'golden age' People have been joining at the rate of about ten a week lately. Good news.
Now hitting record numbers, and a far greater proportion of members are active and contributing. Happy birthday us.

Will there be a lot of children there?

500 members today! And Rissa is our 500th member. Surely s/he should get a prize?

I'd like to put faces to a few names... and have a decent Sunday roast.
 Any particular time?

Anyone else still coming to this on Sunday? I've never met (as far as I'm aware) anyone from the forum so it would be nice to do so.I'm female, tall with short dark red hair...and I'll be with a couple of girlfriends, tucking into a yummy roast at around 1pm

Are we getting a table for several of us? Or is it all get a table for our party and then meet at the end?
I'm not entirely convinced I can convince any pals to venture to the wilds of Forest Hill from their non-SE23 abodes for lunch so unless we're doing a table of 4/8/12/whatever, I may have to give it a miss since I hate eating alone

We could just meet at the bar and chance it for the lunch?

Chance it?! Noooo, not when it comes to roast...too risky!

I'll book a table for...er, 8 (?) at 1pm and then if anyone wants to join my friend and I that would be lovely. The table will be booked under 'Annie'.

Old newbie here !!
I'm on the walking wounded list -so I'll be the bearded Scots guy on a single crutch (please note the spelling).

It's also super-Sunday for the footie fans, so I might be directed to enjoy lunch on the Foresters Bar side with the big screen, dependent upon how busy things are and if the better half (she's the informed fan in the relationship) wants to view a match or two.

None-the-less it will be good to say hello face-to-face - and despite my Scots blood, buying a beer for co-respondents is not beyond me, naturally on the clear understanding that this offer is made on a reciprocal basis.

Is there any thing we Perry Vale side bods can do to assure people that passing through the tunnel of doom does not require you to sign over the lives of your first-born children to secure safe passage ?

This note does not constitute a contribution to the children/no children in pubs debate in other threads.

It's much more important than that.

I'll try to pop in for a drink at least - lunch still requires negotiation with the rest of the family - and could potentially result in there being a child in the pub!!
However, I note that some confusion may arise as I too am a bearded Scot. I shall differentiate myself by refusing to carry a crutch or to buy drinks for anyone!
