Are you allowed to use the pavements in this challenge?

Cycling on the pavement is not encouraged unless there is a cycle lane there.

Ha ha Perryman - I almost made the same comment in reply but thought better of it!
 I'd be happy to get involved but I don't know any "real" people who cycle regularly to form a team with - can we form a team of on-line cyclists who may never have met each other and whose real names we don't know??

Sure, why not, you can form an SE23 team and keep each other updated.
