Just wondering where it was stolen from?
I ask because a car was stolen on Taymount Rise recently.

Sorry to hear of yet another motor vehicle theft.

There has been a continuous spate of such thefts in and around SE23 and the surrounding vicinity for probably nearly the last two years or so.

What are the Police doing to catch those stealing vehicles?
Where are they being taken too?
Are they being sold on elsewhere in the UK?
Are they being shipped out of the UK to other continent's?
How are the thieves getting passed the inbuilt security systems?
Are the metal drive way posts no longer effective?
Is their alternative protection?
How far are residents going to protect their vehicles?
I have seen one for a few months now with a Bulldog wheel clamp, are these the next level of protection?

My car was stolen from the drive overnight a couple of years ago. At that time, it seemed like cars were being nicked daily round here - don't know if it's any better now but I deleted the NextDoor app which highlighted all the crimes!

At the time the police said there was nothing they could do with no evidence to go on but a few months later they told us that it had been found in a chop shop in Kent. I'd already been paid by the insurance co, so it went back to them. I have checked and it's back on the road, so it clearly hadn't been stripped for parts at the point it was found.

I had bollards installed on the drive and I've not heard of anyone managing to get through these. The company who fitted them said it would take a long time with very noisy equipment to remove them, so fingers crossed they keep doing the job.

Very sorry to hear about your car Rayray - hope you get it back in one piece.
