According to TfL, the railway line at New Cross Gate will be closed for 52-hours on 10th-12th May while the new bridge for the northbound ELL extension is dropped into place (the bridge structure itself is nearing completion, you can see it on the left of the tracks heading towards London Bridge). I don't object to the closure, it's in a good cause, but it looks as if there will be no trains to London Bridge in the morning rush hour on Monday 12th, and possibly disruption in the evening too.

It does seem that Southern expect to be running services normally on Monday morning. 52 hour would be from 1am Saturday to 5am Monday. However, I'll be ready to take the 176 on the morning of Monday 12th May. If the engineering works do overrun I don't mind - it is not every day they put a new bridge across the line.

I noticed a sign at London Bridge that says that trains will not run from London Bridge to Charing Cross this Sunday, but a full service to London Bridge will be running.

That's because of engineering works the southbound line is closed between LB and Norwood Junction on Sunday and BH Monday.
A half hourly service will run northbound to LB.
